lyrics

My name is Elsie Skulthorpe.
I grew up on an island among ghosts
Of mastodons and pirates.

On the eve of my sixth birthday I ventured out alone to the lighthouse point as was my habit to marvel at the giant red and white structure set against an austere ocean. I sat at the foot of the lighthouse amidst nearly blinding whiteness and as I turned my gaze west towards the bay I saw a large figure walking
over the ice. As the figure came closer I saw it’s massive tusks. It was a mastodon, the prehistoric cousin of the elephant. I understood the creature by its gestures
and he signaled to me that this storm was the mildest he had seen in years. The glacial period was subsiding As earth was entering a warm period. Soon the homo sapiens would appear, having crossed all the way from the Bering Strait, and wipe out his entire community with their deft hunting skills.

You nag
You nag
I drag
I drag
You nag
And you fucking nag
So I drag
I drag
